In the previous article about furniture mounts you learned that mounts may be metal, wood, plastic and leather, with one or two screws, glued or milled. The selection is almost unlimited and limits are only the funds that you have for new furniture.

But what if you like simple lines of furniture without undue breakdowns and without destroying the look of whole with any catches? Or if the proposed technical solution of furniture does not allow mounts? And what to do if in a small interior decides each millimeter, and mounts on the door simply do not fit without having them constantly hitting to some part of your body?
Furniture doors and push system
If the door or drawers use “push system”, after gentle pushing the door in the right place (at the top of the door on the opposite side from the hinges, drawers at the top of the center) they slightly slide, which allows them to open easily.
Milled slot and lowered doors
There is commode made by Italian manufacturer Jesse on the photo above. The door on this minimalist piece of furniture are reduced for approximately 25 to 30 mm and there is milled groove for the fingers on the inner side, which allows better opening. Milled groove may have a different shape, location, width and depth, the minimum amount is however limited - it is recommended that at least 25 mm should be there to do it comfortable to insert fingers. The ideal materials for these milled doors are solid wood and sprayed MDF board. For laminated boards only the simplest shapes are milled and only for the entire thickness of board. (this solution is often used when the drawers are build in wardrobe with sliding doors).
Wardrobe doors
Aluminum and steel profiles used to make them are formed so sliding doors can opened without the need for additional hardware.
